Their union brings forth the monstrous first children: the powerful Cyclopes and the terrifying Hekatonkheires (Hundred-Handers). But when Uranus sees their primal, chaotic forms, he is overcome with fear. We detail the first great act of tyranny: Uranus's violent betrayal of Gaia as he locks their children deep inside her body, setting the stage for the first cosmic rebellion.
