The BEST WWII Historical Fiction (Just Embrace It!) – Book Recommendations To Enjoy

I recently started reading "Charlotte Gray" by Sebastian Faulks, which is a WWII historical ficiton novel, so I thought I'd make a list of the best WWII historical fiction novels. Now I know a lot of booktubers out there try to shy away from WWII book recommendations, because there are SO MANY WWII historical ficiton books out there. But I figured, why not just embrace the genre? So here's my list of my favorite WWII historical fiction books. I hope you enjoy and can find something to put on your TBR.

I'm just a working mom who likes to read. I especially like to read historical fiction, classics, realistic science fiction, narrative nonfiction, and literary fiction. Sometimes I'll sprinkle in a romance book here or there if I need a little palate-cleanser.

I love to offer book recommendations, especially historical fiction book recommendations, so please follow along if you'd like to learn which historical fiction books you should or should not pick up.

Now that I've finished with my year-long project to read a hundred books in a year, I've decided to change my focus to catching up on some classics that I never got around to during high school and college.

Some of the classics I hope to read in 2025 are "East of Eden," "Don Quixote" and "Wuthering Heights."

Some of my favorite books of all time include "The Pillars of the Earth," "Birdsong," "Into Thin Air," "Into the Wild," "Kindred," and "The Lord of the Rings." Since "The Lord of the Rings" is probably the only fantasy book I've ever liked, please let me know if you have any book recommendations for readers who don't like fantasy. I think I must just be reading the wrong types of books.
