The entire universe is constituted of MATTER, which is known as PUDGAL in Jainism. Rashtrasant Param Gurudev Shree Namramuni Maharaj Saheb explains the Jain concept of ‘What is Pudgal?’ or Matter with great detail in this session.

Bhagwan Mahavir, an enlightened soul, was an omniscient. He could see and decipher every aspect about the soul as well as the entire universe in his kevalgnan (enlightenment). And he explained the subject of MATTER with extraordinary depth and understanding. Because to know the self, one must understand what is the non-self and by understanding the non-self, we can know who we truly are.

Understanding PUDGAL or MATTER is the first step in realising its connection with the soul and consciousness.
