"Uprising" (Demon) by RadiationV2 | Geometry Dash 2.2

Now that the NCS Gauntlet Contest is over, I can finally comment on entries in the description, since it doesn't spoil anything or give any unfair advantage to update. Many viewers and even some creators have asked if I can update the descriptions of the entries I uploaded before, and while I may do it for a few, I don't think I will for all unfortunately; there are simply too many of them for me to have time for it.

"Uprising" by RadiationV2, which got 12th place, is a special entry in my opinion. Very few levels did a more traditional design style like this did, with many entries focusing on creating very detailed custom art and similar. Of course, seeing those levels executed so well was fun, but I still really enjoy seeing more oldschool levels like "Uprising", with "I See Stars" being probably the closest. Aside from just the style, this also has some TamaN vibes in the designs and decorations, which is one of my personal favorite creators from back then, so that also makes me like this a lot.

Due to the more clear Geometry Dash style and little custom highly detailed art, this level was particularly enjoyable to beat in my opinion. It's much easier to get down and complete while having a fun time doing so. While some of the entries had insane art, they definitely suffered a bit in gameplay at times with obstacles or transitions being unclear. That is not the case here since everything is much more clearly laid out.

Now, if I like this level so much, why did it not place higher? Well, for one, this contest had so many insane entries that we had to make some tough choices to decide the top 10 and even the top 20. Getting 12th place in a contest like this, with over 1200 total entries and over 100 really good ones, is insane. Additionally, there were many other judges and I can't speak for how they ranked this one against the others. It's definitely a bit hard to compare a more simple and traditional design level like this with clear gameplay to some of the insane visuals, while perhaps suffering in gameplay, that other people made. Either way, congratulations to RadiationV2 for this level getting so high. You should definitely try this out even if it's not in one of the Gauntlets. I think you'll enjoy it.
