Near Miss Fines, Storm Warnings & Island Getaways!

Join us on an adventure filled with unexpected twists as we explore the stunning coastal town of Les Sables d’Olonne, home to the legendary Vendée Globe sailing race. After a close call there with a parking fine, we head to the beautiful and historic La Rochelle for a relaxing evening meal on the harbour. But with a storm on the horizon, our plans take a turn. We will need to head inland but just time to explore Ile de Ré, where we explore hidden WWII bunkers and stroll along breathtaking beaches—even in the rain. It’s a journey full of surprises, history, and coastal charm!
