Refiners Fire:
Lovely melody and lyric by Doerksen recalled from days of old as a new Christian seeking to be separate from the world. Such a powerful message in this song about the redemption and sanctification process for the genuine follower of Christ! This is a serious prayer song for the Christian seeking to be separate from the world filled with lust, vanity, and adulteration. All of these things can weigh down the heart and soul of the believer especially when starting out.
God is perfect and Christians are called to perfection as an endeavor on a pilgrimage and those working out their salvation in the good grace of Christ who died for sinners. Ephesians 4.

Without Godliness or if one continues to practice sin, there is no inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven: See Galatians 5 https://biblehub.com/galatians/5.htm
Walking by the Spirit
(Ezekiel 36:16–38; Romans 8:9–11)
16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things WILL NOT inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.
Keep in mind the above passage was not speaking to unbelievers or pagans, but the Christians in Galatia who were seeking to follow Jesus on the narrow path.
Lyrics for Refiner's Fire:
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
And precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
Pure gold, Lord
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
And precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold
Pure gold
Refiner's fire
My heart's one desire
Is to be holy
Set apart for You Lord
I choose to be holy
Set apart for You My Master
Ready to do Your will
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from within
And make me holy
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from my sin
Deep within
