The New Andy Griffith Show (1971) ~ "The Fountain" (with commercials) BRAND NEW yet 50 YEARS OLD!!

The New Andy Griffith Show was another "Mayberry-like" sitcom that was broadcast in the U.S. on CBS in 1971 on Fridays at 8:30 PM EST. It debuted on January 8, 1971, and ended on May 21, 1971.

Griffith portrays Andy Sawyer, who upon returning to his hometown is immediately installed as the new Mayor (and with a wife Lee Meriwether & 2 kids & Lee's sister.) The series is set in the fictional small city of Greenwood, North Carolina, with a population slightly under 13,000 residents and thus noticeably larger than Mayberry...but ya just never know who's gonna appear from his old fictional hometown. ;-) 

In "The Fountain" the town has been willed some money & decides to have a memorial fountain placed in the park. Watch as Andy is given the task of hiring the contractor & all the trouble he has to go through...
My guess is this is the 3rd episode (or possibly the last #11)
