Approval Granted for Promotion of 58 Senior Clerks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police
Peshawar: Under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, 58 senior clerks of the KP Police have been approved for promotion to the post of Assistant. A formal notification (No. CPO/E-5/Promotion/1524 dated 18 December 2025) has been issued.
The promotion matter had been pending for a long time. On the instructions of the IGP, Additional IGP Headquarters Abbas Ahsan resolved the issue within weeks, ensuring promotions for the eligible employees.
IGP Zulfiqar Hameed termed this step a major milestone for employee welfare and morale, stating that all police employees—uniformed or non-uniformed—are the backbone of the department. He emphasized that merit, transparency, and justice remain central to promotions and welfare initiatives, which will continue in the future.

The promoted employees expressed gratitude to the IGP and senior police leadership, calling the decision encouraging and morale-boosting.
