Android gives each device a unique ID so that it can help apps to serve you ads that are personalized to you and your specific interests. With Google's push towards being less personal, the company is now giving us the ability to completely delete this advertising ID.

This is big news because we were only able to "reset" this ID before. The only limitation here is that we MUST be running Android 12 in order to delete this ID because the OS needs to be able to handle ads a certain way if there is no ID to be served.

Thankfully, the process is easy to do and the option sits right next to where we went to reset that ID previously. So let me show you how we can opt out of personal ads in Android 12 by deleting this advertising ID.
