we have received the confirmation from the Confederation of African Football Association staff, which is a football originating body on the continent of Africa. And we also have official communication from FUFA, the football governing body, that that our stadium has been granted an opportunity to host the CHAN qualifiers matches.
Our first fixture will be Burundi against Uganda on the Boxing Day on 26th of December this year, and that match will be played at 18 hours, which is 6pm our second fixture will be on 29th of December and that's Uganda against Burundi.
We are therefore very grateful to CAF, and FUFA for the decision. Well taken. Our commitment as ham stadium is to ensure that we have these matches well managed, so that we have a successful walk through as Burundi hosts Uganda in the match they would have hosted in their country, but because they don't have the facilities, then they are bringing the match here, and cup has approved that.
In the recent days, we have had a number of inspections from cup different teams have been here. And the most recent, I think, was last week, where they wanted us to give them the traffic flow and access plan which they have, what we submitted satisfied them. So we want to make an appeal to Ugandans, on 26 on Boxing Day, we shall still be in the festive season. Let them come and watch our first continental engagement, in Hamza stadium.
We shall make sure we make the environment as much friendly as possible for our funds that are going to come in, we shall have to come up with a detailed plan of how much it will be. How will you access the stadium after engagements with the FUFA, so that when we sit down, we can agree on those details, we even with security, and then we'll communicate those details.
But in all, for a period of not even a year, since I assumed this office as a chairperson of the Management Committee, we have been to register a number of milestones. My first interest was to ensure that we have the league matches played here. So the club licensing committee of fufa did all what they could, and we have two League clubs of start times, Uganda, Premier leagues, league playing here. And I'm happy
that the two teams are also competing. They are among the first 10 positions of the day. After that, our next interest was to ensure that we secure the FIFA certificate of our tarf, which we got on seventh of October.
The world football governing body FIFA certified our tarf that was another team, my number three, I was looking at having the stadium opened up to the community that surround us. And that's how we come up with an idea of the Hams Cup. And this the finals of the Hams Cup, and we are giving out 50 million in prizes, and we shall continue even having more tournaments after this one, but we are concluding this one today so that I have the community involved. And by doing so, we are attracting them to watch our league matches.
And that's another objective. Number three, my other objective was to ensure that the facility is utilized by the region. And as I talk now, we have the CECAFA under 17, which is going to be played here, which is also a very, very big milestone, we shall be having six countries playing and showing their talent on a well organized tarf of the Hamz stadium. That's so that was another government. And now we have that the qualifiers of under 17 for this season of CECAFA. And then the other one is to scale up to more of my targets. I want to see the chan qualifiers, but if God willing, I would also want to see the AfCON qualifier matches coming.
So according the targets, I said, I'm happy that, by God's grace, we are moving on well, and I'm looking forward to achieving now that we have the CHAN qualifiers matches being placed here, then we are waiting for cuff for more assignments, and we shall make sure we take them on as they come. That's basically why I called you here, so that you can have the official communication to you about this. You.
