So for those of you that watch my vlogs on the regular, you probably know that Samantha and I have been together for the past 6 years. We dated for one year before I joined the military and have been in a long distance relationship for the past 5. She's been with me and supported me through countless ups and downs throughout my life and I couldn't imagine living the rest of my life without her.

After receiving her parents' blessing to marry her, my sister, my brother-in-law, and I planned an "Up" themed proposal at a local park since "Up" is her favorite Disney movie. She even named the dog I gave her for Christmas 3 years ago Russell (one of the main characters of the movie). We ended up involving him in the proposal as well.
