What is fraction and Decimals?
Fraction is a number that represents a part of whole or collection of objects.
It has two parts:
The numerator and the denominator.
The numerator is the number on the top of the line and tells how many equal parts of the whole or collection are taken.
Example:
One Thirds= 1/3 where the 1 is the numerator.
The denominator is the number below the line and represents the total number of parts in the whole or collection.
Example:
Two Thirds= 2/3 where 3 is the denominator.
Decimals are numbers that contain a decimal point to represent a fraction of a whole.
Example:
0.789 where the digit 7 is in the tenths place, 8 in the hundredths, and 9 in the thousandths, illustrating the value of each decimal place.
Converting fraction into decimals.
Fraction to decimal.
Divide numerator by denominator.
Example:
3/4 divide the numerator(parts) by the denominator(whole).

Decimal to fraction.
Divide the decimal number by 1 then multiply both of the numerator and the denominator by 100 then simplify the number if needed.
Example
0.75 / 1
Where 0.75×100= 75 and 1×100= 100 then simplify 3/4.
