Edible gum is known as gondh in Hindi and is highly nutritive in nature. The source of this plant is “acacia” from which it oozes out, dries and becomes consumable.

Gondh is a white or brown crystalline-coloured crystal which has to be stored in an air-tight container. It is tasteless and odourless.

But why should you use this in winters? Well, gondh ko winters mein lene k bohot faide hai, jaise-

1. Gondh body mein heat generate karta hai and tabhi ye one of the best warming food hai.
2. Iski ek property acidity treat karna and pet ko saaf rakhna bhi hai kyuki it stimulates bowel movement.
3. It detoxifies the body and improves the skin glow. Also, isse wrinkles nahi hote hai aur samay se pehle, skin ageing control hoti hai.
4. During winters, knee pain ya back pain kaafi increase hojata hai. Agar ap gondh lete hai, toh ye joints ko lubricate karta hai or calcium bhi provide karta hai.
5. Pregnancy or lactation ke time ye kafi kaam ata hai as it provides multiple nutrients like protein, calcium, magnesium and folic acid and manages body pains and heavy blood flow.
6. Other benefits of edible gum include enhanced stamina and immunity, reduced urinary leakage and migraine attacks etc.

Please note that gondh is usually taken with ghee, dry fruits or jaggery so isme calories kaafi jyada hojati hai. Therefore, please try to take this in moderation to maintain your health.
