Trilobites have a long history in Kaimere. As one of the first animals harvested from Earth to find widespread success in Kaimere, they already have great claim as one of this planet’s great pioneers. Unlike their Earthly kin, they have survived to modern times, and while many lineages have died off, they remain a highly diverse and successful group of animals. However, their exploration and success was not limited to the seas as it seems their ancestors of Earth were restricted to. When the riverways and shallow seas were clogged with a rot of algal blooms as a consequence of the terraforming of Kaimere, a few trilobites found an unexpected refuge.
