Mumbai Schools To Re-Open From Monday, But Kerala Shuts Schools As COVID -19 Cases Spike

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Thursday that all schools in the city, including pre-primary classes, will reopen on January 24. Earlier in the day, Maharashtra government had given its nod to reopen schools across the state on January 24 and had empowered local administrations to take a final call depending on the COVID-19 situation in their respective jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, Kerala Government on Thursday issued fresh guidelines for schools, in the wake of COVID-19 surge. Students in Class one to nine will switch over to online classes from today.
