The state government has said that the proposed metro project is not just an election promise or a conceptual idea. A survey is currently underway to plan how a metro system can be implemented in a practical way to benefit more people, said BJP MLA Babu Singh.

According to him, the survey includes mapping out possible metro routes, deciding which direction the metro will operate, and assessing how many trees may need to be cut as part of the project.

He added that the ongoing survey reflects the government’s intent to move forward with detailed planning before implementation, focusing on feasibility and public benefit.
