Livestock guardian dogs have been selectively bred for specific traits for thousands of years, which means, most of the LGDs have quite similar personality, such as incredible loyalty to its owners, but also to the livestock, very low or even no prey drive, natural protectivness and alertness, big strength, high level of independence and decisiveness.
