Yunus: Ex-Bangladesh PM Hasina to be Tried for Crimes Against Humanity | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Bangladesh's interim leader Muhammad Yunus said that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will stand trial for alleged crimes against humanity, including purported forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings - this will include instances where she is not even present physically. In an interview to media outlet, Yunus said, "A trial will be taking place, not only against her, but also all the people associated with her - her family members, her clients or associates." Dhaka has asked New Delhi to extradite Hasina who has been in exile in India since abruptly losing power and exiting her homeland last August in the face of a student-led mass movement. Bangladesh has issued two arrest warrants against Hasina.
