How to fight Sweat problem in Psoriasis during Summer? | Psoriasis Treatment | Himanshu Dhawan

As summers have started, all the psoriasis patients might have an increase in the patches due to sweating. Sweat causes irritation, making the patches itchy, so it is recommended to manage it.

1. Baby care wipes
Always carry baby care wipes to clean the surface where it itches. By wiping the area, a patient will not have the tendency to scratch, avoiding bleeding over the patches.

2. Low Salt Diet
If a psoriasis patient consumes a low salt diet, it will decrease the itchiness caused due to sweat and also will not aggravate the condition. That is, have a meal that contains salt. The rest two meals should be without it.

3. Bath at least two times a day and use mild soaps
As summers have started, a psoriasis patient should bathe two times a day and use soap that is mild and will not dry the skin. This will help the patient to sweat less when he sleeps at night and will not have any itchiness in the back. If a patient has scalp psoriasis, baby shampoo should be used as it is very mild.
