On Sunday, August 23, Raísa Almeida joined us for from São Paolo for a chat to discuss her project, the Rotary Square Basketball Court, as well as the São Paola Museum of Art building by Lina Bo Bardi.

Raísa is a visual designer and art director. From 2017 to 2020, she worked as an Art Director at CUBOCC NY. Between 2016 and 2017 she worked as a Senior Art Assistant at Martin Luz. From Winter to Spring 2016, Raísa worked as a Letterpress Intern at the Globe Collection & Press at Maryland Institute College of Art.

Raísa is a co-founder of Efêmmera, a network of entrepreneurship and appreciation of female protagonism in street culture. Efêmmera promotes collaborations between established and rising artists, prepares them for professional opportunities, and empowers them through their work with commissions for brands, street art, murals, talks, exhibitions, and art curatorship.

In 2015, Raísa was awarded a full-time scholarship to study Graphic Design at The Maryland Institute College of Art by the Federal Government of Brazil.
