Tiger Mountain Enduro - Issaquah, Washington // Cascadia Dirt Cup

This was my second enduro race of the year with the Cascadia Dirt Cup. This time we headed to Issaquah, Washington to race at Tiger Mountain. I did this race last year and it dumped rain...and in true Tiger Mountain fashion it was raining again this year! It was a pretty brutal day with 5 stages over total 21 miles and 5,300 feet of climbing.

This year I'll be doing 6 races with Cascadia Dirt Cup - the Northwest's premier enduro race series! I'll be riding in the Expert Men 30-39 category.

For those unfamiliar with enduro racing - Enduro races involve anywhere from 3-7 timed stages. The timed sections are mostly downhill, but can vary in steepness, length, and difficulty. Between each stage there are untimed "transfer stages" that are mostly uphill climbs to reach the next stage. Enduro racing requires a unique combination of physical fitness, stamina, and bike-handling skills.
