Continuing through The Silent Sands leads us to another small tower protracting from the tower we're already in. We meet the other playable character in the story (that we aren't going to be playing as), Hugo Fact.

Welcome to my playthrough Ys Origin! I start the game on the Normal difficulty playing as the Apprentice Knight, Yunica Tovah as I go through a different style of Ys game than before.

Also, even though I'm strictly a Nintendo based channel I wanted to be clear that this is the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

The plan for this series is to get a good amount of action in for each video even if there is extensive dialogue sections. The goal is to be around 30 - 45 minutes of runtime for each part (excluding part 1). Depending on what happens within a session, it could shorten or raise some video runtimes. It's an either or situation. RPGs tend to have lots of dialogue and this game isn't an exception. It's to attempt to get a mix of most of the story and action, just not get a small dose of each in shorter parts. Some parts might have lots of dialogue so I'll put timestamps to skip to the action whenever the situation presents itself.

Ys is in danger because demons have appeared. The Black Pearl was used after evacuating the people to Solomon Shine to raise it into the sky to avoid the threat. A tower was erected by the demons which let them rule the skies. Later, the twin Goddesses from the shrine disappeared along with the Black Pearl. So the six Priests gathered knights and sorcerers to form a search party to locate the Goddesses on the surface. Some ended up scattered and a few were lost due to an attack on them. In this story I take the role of the Apprentice Knight (literally just joined), Yunica Tovah, the daughter of a knight and the granddaughter of a priest. She cannot use magic but she is strong for her size. Yunica makes her way into the tower where the story begins.
