Burnaby is the third largest city in Metro Vancouver, located immediately east of Vancouver, and is home to Burnaby Village, Metrotown, and Burnaby Mountain.Burnaby is the third largest city in British Columbia, after Vancouver and Surrey, with a population of over 220,000 people. It is home to Swangard Stadium, Simon Fraser University (SFU), and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).Burnaby is home to a staggering amount of interconnected parks and trails of all sizes and features.
The crowning beauty of this park system is Deer Lake Park, Burnaby's hub of arts, culture and heritage.Simon Fraser University, built by renowned architect Arthur Erickson and named after one of British Columbia's most famous explorers, is perched high on Burnaby Mountain.
