I guess what im getting at is to play devils advocate a bit for DBFZ, although of course my thought experiment question works from the last video and honestly theres not much you can even argue since its fact really.. But at least in DBFZ case, the homogenized mechanic that is being complained about, is actually used in different ways by the characters. Yes most certainly homing dash is one of the staples of conversation of things that people have complained about the game for years.. However this homogenized mechanic is used differently depending on the character and creates a meta that is not possible in other games.. Where as in SF6 case we have homogenized mechanics that are not some galaxy brain idea, and could be implemented in some fashion in other games.. and because normals are again so homogenized in the game we tend to see drive rush used for the same thing more often than not.. In dbfz case, not every character even has the same fireball, we still have different strings that you might be inclined to try to homing dash out of more so than vs the other character..theres just more variability in it even its current state than a game like SF6 and most certainly DBFZ theres ways to even potentially push it farther.
