"There are indeed many political dynamics in different capitals. Moscow, Russia, is one of those countries. There may be a conference within the next few months hosting all parties in the Syrian opposition to unify its stance regarding the peace process and the transitional phase."

"We have been calling for a safe zone since the very beginning and there are friendly countries that are supportive and many other countries opposing this term. There are many disagreements over this term to be used. Maybe the most recent term that has been circulated is "terrorism free" or "killing free" zone, but regardless of the terms, what is required from the international community and the Friends of Syria is to provide for a stable and safe environment for Syrian civilians either in liberated areas or the areas that are under siege."

STORYLINE:
The Syrian National Coalition (SNC) opposition group has appealed for help from the international community.
Khaled Khoja, President of the SNC, made the appeal a day after reported government air raids killed at least 96 people in Douma, a suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus.
Khoja said the attacks mount to war crimes, that add to an "ongoing genocide" against the public.
He said there might be a new conference in the coming months to find a political solution.
