A tribute to the amazing scientific and artistic work of Dr. Donald Pettit.
These photos span across the whole of Dr. Pettit's spaceflight career, beginning with his first mission on November 23rd, 2002. His most recent mission lasted from September 11th, 2024 to April 19th, 2025. He has logged 590 days in space and 13 hours in spacewalks. Dr. Pettit coined the term "Star Trails" to describe the photos taken using his unique timelapse style, such as seen at 2:01.
