Here are some basic tips & tricks on how to get up and running playing Demigod as The Rook.

Demigod is a new RPG game released on April 14th. Although online play is currently problematic, the single player skirmish mode is a lot of fun and for me was well worth the price of admission. The only problem with this game is that it doesn't have any decent documentation for newbies on how to actually play it (the so-called 'battle manual' they give you is paltry at best).

So I had to really root around on the Demigod forums last Saturday afternoon just to figure out what the heck was going on and it was suggested that there should be some kind of video to help newbies learn the basics.

So here it is. Here are some basic tips and tricks that really helped kickstart my Demigod gameplay and helped me get up and running. The key is to set the game speed (skirmish mode) to adjustable and then use the "-" key on the number keypad on your keyboard to slow down the game speed while in the game. You can slow the game speed down to a factor of -10 (glacial crawl) which will give you lots of time to study all the Item Shop screens, the Skill screen and the Citadel upgrade screen and from there you can start strategizing and creating Demigod builds that will start kicking some arse.

The demigod I use in this video is The Rook.
