State Member for Wakehurst, Michael Regan MP, formally acknowledged Collaroy Tennis Club in a sitting of the New South Wales Parliament, 24 October 2024. Michael read out a Community Recognition Statement, highlighting Collaroy Tennis Club's recent achievements and contributions to the community.

This is Michael’s Community Recognition Statement:
"I would like to congratulate Collaroy Tennis Club, which was nominated as Finalists for the annual Tennis NSW Awards on the 17th of October in four categories. The Club received nominations for Most Outstanding Metropolitan Club or Venue, and for Most Outstanding Inclusion Initiative. Two of their athletes, Isla Gillespie and Rafferty Stevens, were nominated for Youth Athlete with a Disability, and Pavle Marinkov was nominated for Male Junior Athlete of the Year.

“Collaroy Tennis Club started over 100 years ago and is such an integral part of the Northern Beaches sporting community, so these nominations are very well deserved. The Club champions values of inclusion, with purpose-built wheelchair accessible courts and Pride events for the local LGBTQIA+ community that help promote equal opportunity in sport.

“These nominations are a stunning and remarkable achievement for the Club and testament to their hard work supporting players of all ages and abilities. Congratulations!"
