Renowned Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, who is popularly known as the Lion of Africa, has recently celebrated his 77th birthday in a grand way. The veteran actor, who was elated to witness yet another year, took to his Instagram page to share several pictures of himself adorned in a lovely outfit, basking in the euphoria of his special day.

Pete Edochie is considered one of Nigeria's most gifted actors, having been honored with several prestigious awards in recognition of his contributions to the growth of the Nigerian movie industry. He has received an Industry Merit Award from Africa Magic and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Africa Film Academy.

Born on March 7, 1947, in Zaria, Kaduna State, Pete Edochie hails from Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is happily married to Josephine Edochie.
