Today we archive a game that took the world by storm and also piqued my interest when I saw the screenshots and heard the premise. Peak is a very simple yet enjoyable co-op game where you and three friends have crashed on an island and need to reach the peak of a mountain in order to escape.
It starts out calm with a clim bast cliffs that are connected by bridges and not much danger lies in wait.
But not soon after we head into the jungle and have to deal with poisonous thorns, rainstorms and eventually need to traverse blizzards and hot lava fields. The co-op aspect is great as you can help each other with a boost while climbing and you have very limited inverntory space. Backpacks can be found throughout the campaign and the person with the backpack can hold 4 more items than usual. You are constantly communicating with your friends in regards to item management and route planning.
If you perish you have to start all the way back at the beginning and so it gets really tense towards the end of the game. It is a great game for a great price and I am happy that the developers have had such success with the launch of their game. See you all at the mountaintop!
