It took me EIGHT YEARS to find out that you can skip the beginning of the game, and without entering Diamond City, go straight to Nick Valentine in Fallout 4. I became curious about what would change in such a case, like some dialogues. Will the scene with Piper near the gates of Diamond City still happen, and will Nick be involved? To check this, I went straight to the vault to rescue Valentine, killed a bunch of gangsters, and released the detective. After a while, we got out of that location, and then we had a dialogue.
