I've been working on improving the handling of the car by improving/beefing up the suspension slowly. I made a trunk brace a while back that now is fully bolted in and works great. It took a lot of body roll out of the car. I also installed thicker sway bar end links, swapped the soft OEM spring isolators rubbers for heater hose, and I inserted some steel pipes into my trailing arms. The OEM trailing arms on the Protege are a C channel design so I found a pipe that fit into it snug and attached it with a few clamps and a few welds. It tested awesome so I will take them off and weld them up in the future. Also I recently undid my egr block(dime in the egr tube)to test something and the car was not running as good as it was with it blocked. Idle wasn't as smooth and I had a vacuum fluctuation while cruising/maintaining speed which annoyed the hell out of me so I re blocked it. I hope you w joy these free car hacks.
