New Beginnings in Escuintla - 2010

At the end of 2009 Jonathan Roiz, founder/ executive director/ missionary of the Hope Movement traveled alone to Escuintla, Guatemala. Jonathan and Pastor Neri Flores met with the Mayor of San Felipe to discuss the possibilty of conducting a street outreach on New Years Eve. The Mayor was excited because over 80% of the people in this community are living in extreme poverty. We united members of the community, and local church members together as one to reach people in need. Guatemalans helping Guatemalans is the key for transformation. Volunteers prepared food for 300 children, and the event was the first step to igniting a Hope Movement in this community, overflowing nationwide.
