AMCHAM Korea [Webinar] AMCHAM Essential Tax Laws for Foreigners Living in Korea Webinar

December 16, 2021 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) hosted the AMCHAM Essential Tax Laws for Foreigners Living in Korea Webinar with Wealth Management Business Support Group's Tax Team at Hana Bank.

Three tax team leaders, Dae Kyeong Kim, Ji Yong Song, and Yun Hee Cho addressed essential tax information for foreigners living in Korea. While discussing various issues arising from the difference in tax evaluation between the U.S. and Korea, the following topics were discussed:

1. Determination of Residency for Dual Nationals and Special Cases Concerning Taxation of Foreigners
2. Reporting Foreign Financial Accounts
3. Transfer Tax, Inheritance Tax, and Gift Tax for Foreigners living in Korea
