How to Edit Notification Panel, Control Center, and Status Bar on HONOR X8c

The HONOR X8c allows you to customize the Notification Panel, Control Center, and Status Bar to better suit your preferences. This includes changing quick settings layout, toggling icons, and modifying information displayed at the top of the screen. The following instructions explain how to access and personalize these interface elements.

⮕ Part 1: Edit Quick Settings in the Control Center
⮕ Step 1: Access the Control Center
Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open the Control Center.

⮕ Step 2: Tap the Edit Icon
In the Control Center, locate and tap the edit (pencil) icon.
This opens the quick settings customization mode.

⮕ Step 3: Add, Remove, or Rearrange Icons
Add: Drag icons from the bottom section (inactive toggles) to the upper section (active toggles).

Remove: Drag icons from the upper section down to deactivate them.

Rearrange: Press and hold any icon, then drag to reposition it as desired.

⮕ Step 4: Save and Exit
Once finished, tap the back arrow or exit the screen to save your changes.

⮕ Part 2: Customize the Status Bar
⮕ Step 1: Open the Settings Application
From the home screen or app drawer, tap the Settings icon.

⮕ Step 2: Go to Notifications & Status Bar
Scroll down and tap on Notifications & status bar.

⮕ Step 3: Adjust Display Options
You may find the following settings available:

Show carrier name: Toggle to show or hide the mobile carrier name.

Battery percentage: Choose whether to display battery percentage inside or beside the icon.

Network speed: Enable real-time network speed in the status bar.

Notification icons: Choose how many app icons are shown when notifications arrive.

Toggle or adjust each option according to your preferences.

From the same menu, tap More notification settings (if available).

⮕ Step 2: Adjust Notification Preferences
Here, you can:

Enable or disable notification badges

Manage lock screen notifications

Choose whether to allow sound and vibration
