In 1933, Adolf Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany, thus beginning the era of one of the most hated men in history. Many men, women, and children subscribed to his policies and conformed to the fast-growing Nazi Empire. However, some brave, good-hearted men did not conform, and they did whatever they could to overthrow Hitler. Some even hatched assassination plots against him. These would-be assassins included several lesser-known assailants, a notorious Nazi opponent, and some of Hitler's own highly-ranked officers.

Throughout the course of Adolf Hitler's presence in Germany, many brave and strong-willed men risked their lives to end his. At least 40 assassination attempts on Hitler occurred, but he some how survived them all. It turns out, though, that Hitler's own assassin was himself. On April 30, 1945, in his bunker in Berlin, Hitler committed suicide by gun as the Soviet forces crushed his once powerful military just outside the bunker walls in his beloved German capital city. The end of World War II in Europe finally came. If only more men opposed Hitler and risked their lives to end his reign over civilized Germany. Perhaps the lives of 60 million people would have been spared if this fantasy became a reality.
