German artist Detailed returns to Piston Recordings with his Idylle Und Ruhe EP. This one follows his top-notch remix for JR From Dallas’ Sweet Melody from the Summer of 2020. We also know this guy as Honorman, who delivered the vivacious Peppers EP, also in 2020. A mysterious character, we’re learning a lot about him through his music, and we like what we hear, a lot. Great to see him back and we hope to see more in the future.

The Original Mix serves up a wonderfully rich, atmospheric slice of deep house grooves. Deeply hypnotic and inspiringly infectious, the track flows effortlessly, drawing you in with its organic charm. US based DJ, producer Mosis debuts on Piston with a superb remix on Idylle. Here, the groove is beefed up and given a chunky bassline with some serious groove attached. Dancey chords inject an enhanced rhythm into the groove as cool FX fill out the spectrum. Ruhe rounds out the release, taking us deeper with punchy beats and gritty bass plucks. Powerful low-end pads add weight to the groove as melodic synth balance things out. A solid EP that is not to be missed.
