Air quality across Delhi and the NCR has worsened, with large areas in severe and very poor categories. Vivek Vihar recorded an AQI of 422, while Jahangirpuri, Anand Vihar, and Noida Sector-1 also crossed the severe mark. Other areas, including Shadipur, Narela, and Rohini, reported AQI above 400. Prolonged exposure can cause breathing difficulties, eye irritation, and worsen heart and lung conditions. Authorities have advised residents, especially children, seniors, and those with respiratory issues, to limit outdoor activity and use masks or air purifiers.
