CHANAN and Community Uplift Program conducted 6 theater performances to reach almost 1300 audiences in selected UCs of district Battagram. Three days of practice and training session was conducted before the theater performance execution.
For a better impact, this theater performance was conducted in the local language.
The participants of these performances were school students both male and female from class 1-10 along with their teachers and other school staff.
The objective of this program is to create “Awareness for the larger Community on Child Rights in Health, Education, and Protection against all forms of abuse and exploitation.
Theater performances were conducted to spread awareness regarding the right to education, early-age marriages, right to play, child sexual abuse, psychological pressure on a child, juvenile justice, and child protection laws in Pakistan.
The theater play was built in an interactive way to highlight the above key contents and delivered it in a lively way for the audience.
During the interaction and discussion, audiences discussed the key messages of the theatre performances.
Children appreciated and liked the theatre performances and wish to continue such initiatives in the future.
