Reliance Industries and Google have announced a groundbreaking partnership to accelerate India’s AI transformation. Under this deal, eligible Jio users will get free access to Google AI Pro for 18 months, worth ₹35,100 per user. The offer includes Gemini 2.5 Pro, Veo 3.1 video tools, Nano Banana image AI, Notebook LM, and 2TB of Google Cloud storage. The rollout begins with young 5G users and will later expand nationwide. Beyond consumer access, Reliance will also help deploy Google’s TPUs in India, boosting the country’s AI infrastructure and sovereign compute ambitions.

Elon Musk’s Starlink has officially started hiring in India, marking a major step toward its satellite broadband launch by late 2025 or early 2026. The company is recruiting for key finance and accounting roles in Bengaluru, which will serve as its India operations hub. Starlink has also leased its first office in Mumbai and set up three ground stations as part of security and compliance trials. The firm will compete with Eutelsat OneWeb and Jio Satellite once commercial services begin. With spectrum allocation pending, India’s satellite internet race is heating up fast.

India and the United States have signed a landmark 10-year defence framework agreement, marking a major milestone in their strategic partnership. The pact was sealed in Kuala Lumpur between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his U.S. counterpart Peter Hegseth. Both leaders hailed it as a sign of growing strategic convergence and a commitment to a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific. The agreement sets the stage for enhanced military coordination, technology sharing, and intelligence cooperation. Coming amid trade tensions, the deal underscores the nations’ shared resolve to strengthen regional stability and long-term defence collaboration.
