COASTLINES: Bikepacking the Sunshine Coast Trail

We’re heading out to bike pack The Sunshine Coast Trail.

As a modified combination of the official routes on BIKEPACKING.COM, we’ll be starting with the Powell River Sampler and then continuing on to the Lower Sunshine Coast Route all the way to Gibsons. (Unfortunately, we had to skip a few sections for time.)

To add an extra challenge, we have a short window to complete the trip (roughly 2 days) and there is an ongoing heatwave in British Columbia. We’ll be putting our Bikepacking Hardtails to their first real test too. We have a lot of experience with Bikepacking on Gravel Bikes, but this sort of trail system will require a different sort of setup and pace. Searing heat, punchy climbs, technical trails, and incredible views all added up together for an unforgettable and appropriately difficult adventure.
