ILS International Language Services Ltd. has been carrying out translations, specialist and linguistic revision, software localisation, interpreting, adaptations to advertisements, Desktop Publishing and other related assignments for banks, insurance companies, auditing companies, lawyers, law firms, international freight forwarders, advertising agencies, commercial centres, telecommunications companies, industrial enterprises, multinational companies, institutions of public education and state budgetary agencies, etc.

Since 1989 we have had numerous foreign companies as our customers covering more than 70% of all our business.

ILS is an expert in the translation of legal, economic, medical, pharmaceutical
and technical texts as well as in East European languages.

Since the end of 1996 our office has been the official translator of the publication “Hungarian Rules of Law in Force”. We also make translations for 36 lawyers and 8 law firms, e.g. for CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP. We have been one of the translation offices participating in translating the laws and regulations of the European Union since 1996. We presently carry out this work as a member of a consortium and in the course of this task we have to comply with numerous stipulations. In both cases, we had to satisfy serious requirements of form and content and keep strict deadlines.

In the course of translating legal documents for Wolters Kluwer Hungary and the European Union, our office has acquired a breadth of experience that is indispensable for the organisation and management of comprehensive and ongoing high-level projects.

ILS conforms to all the requirements of the international quality standards EN ISO 17100:2015 (certified on 11 November 2019) and is covered by product liability insurance.

We employ 50–100 translators and translate 4000 pages each month for approximately 500 customers on a yearly basis. This amount is only a fraction of the potential capacity of ILS International Language Services Ltd. This capacity could be significantly increased for assignments in major languages. We possess the expertise and technical background for such an expansion.

Our translators have university degrees, translator certifications and considerable experience in the translation of technical, economic, financial and legal texts.

Our translation and interpreting activity is currently co-ordinated by three full-time project managers. Our operation manager is responsible for quality assurance, while one of our project managers has the role of terminology specialist. Our staff has participated in various quality assurance courses.

Our Quality Assurance Manual regulates the influence and responsibilities of the staff as well as the individual conditions of organisation, documentation and cross-checking during the work process. We believe that a close co-operation between the customer and the translation office is the basis for high-quality translations.

The objectives of ILS Ltd. include the delivery of products to customers on time and after appropriate quality control. We make every effort to ensure the continuous development and perfection of our system of quality assurance.
