I mounted 18” aluminum brackets on each side of the van’s cab. I’ll cut a shelf out of birch plywood and cover it with a fabric before screwing it into these brackets.

I had to put small blocks of wood on the bottom side of the aluminum brackets to level out the brackets a little more. I’ll paint whatever ones are visible once my furniture is put in, but I’m not worried about that right now. 🙃

There aren’t a ton of resources available for this since the only vans who need this kind of headliner install are 2021 Ford Transits and newer.
