But freedom for India came at a cost of Partition and misery due to communal riots and strife between the Hindu and Muslim communities. Overnight millions became homeless, millions became refugees. 'India wins Freedom' is a film on the struggle for freedom by the people of the country and a reflection on the price that the country had to pay for freedom. The film contains rare footage of historical importance that re-ignite the sense of passion and commitment inherent in the struggle for Independence.
