Hima is a sprinter from Assam and is also the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal in a track event at the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships. She says, " I went to Finland for the U-20 World Athletics Championships in 2018 and won a gold medal in the 400m race. Wahaan experience ke liye gayi thi aur Gold medal leke waapas aayi hoon. Zindagi toh abhi bhi chal rahi hai. Kabhi change nahi hui hai. Depends on people. When I used to play football, I always wanted to wear the Indian jersey. I admire Sachin tendulkar. I want to thank the Athlete Federation of India and the government for their support. Bhagwaan ke dua se karke jaaungi."
