Moja Mare - Who See & UN

Описание к видео Moja Mare - Who See & UN

Lyrics:

My Mary takes care of the family, you know
Even when I'm back from work with half a salary only
Welcoming dear guests and prepares kids for school
Just like our wives and mothers do it here

My Mary remembers her daddy's beatings
Who was beating her mother when she forgets to buy olives
Humiliated her and told her all kinds of rubbish
Abducted her earnings after the rummage

Mary experienced all kinds of mobbing
She's unemployed now 'cause the owner knows how to lobby
She worked hard but was fired after all
'Cause soon she will give birth to her third [child]

My Mary keeps silent at home
And I instruct her who to vote for on elections
I've bought her vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and cooker
So let her see for herself if she can find better somewhere else

SHE'S HAD ENOUGH OF ALL, WORKING EVERY DAY
WASHING, IRONING, AND CLEANING AFTER ME
SHE SAID SHE WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
DISGRACING ME SHAMEFULLY
x2

My Mary thinks "If I only didn't know how to cook"
Always the same story "Kitchen, kitchen..."
Mary doesn't have time for theatre or cinema
Nore to watch something on TV

But Mary is doing fine, considering the others
Neighbour's wife with broken jaw & brueise under eye
Whenever she disrespects the protocols
In comparison to this, my Mary lives a beautiful life....

[Scream]

SHE'S HAD ENOUGH OF ALL, WORKING EVERY DAY
WASHING, IRONING, AND CLEANING AFTER ME
SHE SAID SHE WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
DISGRACING ME SHAMEFULLY

Violence against women is not seen.
It is not talked about, either.
UNTIL WHEN?
