Zaite and Zailian Village all are under the Assam State government. People living here are Hrangkhawl, Sakechep and Chorei tribe. They are part of the Mizo tribe who went further to the West, when Mizos were shifting from the East. They are very less in number and their land is also under strict protection from exploitation. People living in this area use farming as their main source of food and income.
