A brief virtual tour of Hopkins Village, sleepy #Garifuna community located on the southern coast of #Belize. Hopkins Village started as a fishing and farming Garifuna community with a population of 500 Garinagu. Now Hopkins Village has grown to a population of 2,500 people. Hopkins is now known as a popular tourist destination in Belize, Hopkins was recently voted “The Friendliest Village in Belize” by Belize’s First Magazine.
 
Hopkins Village is separated into two main transects; the Northside (Baila) and the Southside (False Sittee). It is surrounded by the Maya Mountain Range and the Caribbean Sea on its shore.
