From Pakistan to China borders — Why India's strategic depth is of little value

'While India might have the luxury of a large landmass, its strategic depth is of little value due to overriding domestic compulsions. India will therefore have to be forward deployed almost everywhere to thwart any pre-emptive surprise attacks', says Former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane (retd), adds that India has to carefully calibrate its strategy with respect to its potential adversaries — China to the north & Pakistan to the West.
