To Animenz - 11th year Animenz anniversary celebration

Today, I would like to present to you the BIGGEST collaboration in the history of the anime piano community: Animenz Piano Medley, performed by a total of 38 anime pianists!
This project was created when we heard the news of Animenz’s struggle with his lawsuit; many people in this community wanted to do something to share their love and appreciation to Animenz - the idol and inspiration to many of us. Thus, the "Project : Animenz" collaboration was created.
This project took 3 months to finish, with more than 40 anime pianists assigned into 4 different teams, led by moderators (the project leaders who brainstorm and make the decisions).

The "Management" - the one who brainstorms the whole process and gives directions.
The "Arrangers” - the ones who arranged the whole medley.
The "Pianists” - the performers who practiced and recorded for the video.
The "Mixers" - the ones who mixed the final audio, and
The "Audio-Visual" team - the ones who crafted everything into the beautiful video you see before your eyes.

The song in this medley were selected from the pieces which we thought to best represent the Animenz journey, from his first ever arrangement of Hikari no Senritsu to the final grandiose ending of My Dearest - the most iconic song that Animenz has arranged, with 38 pianists participating at once. We also created an epilogue with messages from every participant and every anime pianist we could reach, with the soundtrack being “Yokogao,” from Aria Origination - one of Animenz’s favorite anime of all time.

This project could not have succeeded without the help of everyone in this video; this has been one of the biggest collaborations I have ever had the pleasure to work on! I couldn't be more grateful for the many individuals who supported me along the way; I could not have led this project alone.

I want to give special thanks to fall for being one of the best secretaries I could have ever asked for; her ability to solidify all of our brainstorming sessions into clearly defined documents is invaluable. To Wisnu, the head of the arranging team: not only did you arrange this gigantic medley with us, but you also took the time to engrave the entire sheet, along with making click tracks for pianists to practice, AND overlooking everyone’s progress on practicing for the video. A big thank you to the wonderful mixer team who mixed the insane multi-audio tracks (and especially to Captain Chu for being an MVP; he worked on more than 80 percent of the whole audio track alone!), and the entire video editing team for creating such a wonderful cinematographic experience (special thanks to Kid Kat for creating a wonderful epilogue section!). Not only did this become a gift for Animenz, but it ended up becoming a milestone - the biggest achievement we have done as a community. I couldn't be more grateful and proud!
